Herbalist Cocktail recipes

Chefs have long known that fresh herbs add a special touch to food. Now bar chefs are getting in on the fun, creating new cocktails with a fresh twist.

I put simplicity in my cocktails, however i always look to add original and unusual ingredients, wich could be a Herb, spice or fruit to compliment the main spirit.

I always had this passion for using herbs in my cocktail recipes until when i created a eucalyptus syrup from fresh eucalyptus leaves. Since then i have been researching about herbs and also found  how they pairing well with to create great cocktail recipes.

 

 Eucalyptus Martini

Ingredients: 50ml Tanqueray 10 Gin, 25ml Eucalyptus syrup, 12.5ml contreau, 25ml fresh squeezed lime juice, 3 dashs of egg white

Method: Shake over ice all the ingredients and double strain into a martini glass

Garnish: Eucalyptus leaf

 

 Duchess luisa

Ingredients: 50ml Tanqueray Gin, 12 lemon verbena leaves, 25ml Apricot puree, 12.5ml apricot liqueur , 12.5ml vanilla syrup

Method: shake strongly all the ingredients over  ice and double strain into a martini glass

Garnish: lemon verbena leafs

 


Paulista

Ingredients: 50ml Ypioca cachaca prata, 25ml Lavender syrup, 10 fresh blueberries 25ml fresh lime juice, 12.5ml Velvet falernum, 12.5ml blueberry liquer

Method: Muddle blueberries with lavender syrup add the rest of all ingredients, shake all of them over ice and double strain into a marti glass.

Garnish: lavender sprig or lavender sugar rimmed glass       

 

 

Tarantula                                

Ingredients: 50ml Hendricks gin, 1 borage sprig, 12.5ml Pimm’s, 12.5ml sweet vermouth, 2 dashs of lemon bitters

Method: shake strongly all the ingredients over ice and double strain into a martini glass

   Garnish: one borage leaf floating            

 

     

    Scottish Knight                          

 

Ingredients: 50ml Auchentoshan 12 years whisky, 6 lemon balm leaves, 20 ml walnut liqueur, 25ml apple juice, dash of egg white

Method: shake strongly over ice all the ingredients and double strain into a martini glass

Garnish: lemon balm leaf                                 

 

          

            Red Hotober   

Ingredients: 50ml Of Honey& chilli Vodka, 2 basil leaves, 25ml mandarine napoleon, 4 raspberries , 37.5ml cranberry juice, 12.5ml cassis

Method: shake strongly over ice all the ingredients and double strain into a martini glass

Garnish: Basil leaf 

 

    

    The Romance     

Ingredients: 50ml hendricks gin, 25ml fresh lemon juice, 1 sprig of tarragon, 5ml black mozart chocolate liquer, dash of sugar syrup

Method: Shake strongly over ice all the ingredients and double strain into a martini glass
